Goal Creation

Usability Issues
-
Terminologies - Checklist & Accountability Buddy
-
Navigating all the prompts on one page
-
Filling in the input boxes
-
Reaching the Next button
-
Copying the template

Mind Mapping
I gathered my thoughts on what users' first instincts were. The goal creation wasn't easy for the users.
-
Users didn't understand what each input box meant
-
Users might have other goals that they wanted to create
-
Editing a goal wasn't easy
-
Users could have used some guidance along the process

It was beneficial to form a team from the beginning because I was going to create categories for the goal creation however, I found out that we didn't enough capacity to create and implement so much detail.

Brainstorming

Solutions
-
Combining Core Features: Goalswell App wanted to motivate users to keep up with their goals in four aspects - Creating a goal, Setting a Deadline, Creating a checklist to accomplish the goal, and inviting someone to monitor their goals. We combined those features in one simple process.
-
Wording and Illustration: Users were confused about the process and wording in the beginning. We made slight changes to the sentences and added illustrations that helped users to acknowledge what each page meant.

Usability Testing
We had great feedback on the final design. The illustrations and the sentences made a big impact on the user experience

-
